I am a beginner and I was wondering how easy it would be to join this late in the semester? Also, how many classes would I have to attend in order to avoid skipping material and learning things in a continuous progression?
Thanks.

Hi Kevin,
You can join our club at any time. Many of the senior members will help familiarize you with some of our etiquette and procedures before class and we all work together to help newer members learn our art.
In order to continuously progress in Aikido we recommend that you attend as many classes as you are able. We understand that from time to time students are busy and cannot make it to one or more classes and just ask that you let us know if you are planning to miss a large amount of class. Also, we do not start at one point and end at another each semester, which is why joining at any time works fine. Everyone in the class works on the same techniques no matter what your skill level. We hope to see you on the mat!

Hello!
I am currently studying abroad in Japan and I will be back to the U for summer term; when do you think you will post summer practice times? I am eager to continue Aikido when I get back.
Thank you very much!

Hi Tori!
Our summer practice schedule will likely be very similar to what we have now, assuming that there are no conflicts with the Armory. Our times have generally stayed the same, whereas in the past the days have changed.
As soon as we find out practice times for the summer we will post them. We are also planning a seminar for this summer along with Aikido of Minnesota.
We look forward to seeing you in the summer!
