Becoming a member

Come to one of our practices and try two classes at no charge!

Be sure to wear loose, comfortable clothing to practice.  Long pants and long-sleeved shirts are preferred, to protect your knees and elbows.

Classes are ongoing throughout the year, so please feel free to begin aikido at any time, whether it be the middle or end of a semester, during the summer, or over winter break.  We will work with you individually to teach you the basics you need to join the rest of the class.

If you decide you enjoy Aikido and you wish to join the club, you will be most welcome!  Membership dues are as follows:

Fall or Spring semester $40
Summer semester $30
1 Month $12

We are closely affiliated with the Aikido of Minnesota dojo on Snelling Ave in St. Paul.  Members of our club are welcome to practice aikido at AOM free of charge.

When is the next class I can attend and what should I wear?

Brian, please see our “schedule and directions” (link on the left)

Do you need to be a current student to join for a summer session? I am an alum and going to be in the cities for the summer. I practice aikido in Charleston and would like to keep it up over the summer.

    Hi Michele,

We do not require that you be a student to join our club. However, here is a fee for the summer session for all members.

    Hello,

Are the class days and times posted on your website still valid? What will your class schedule be for Fall 2009?

    Thanks.

      Durell,
We’re still practicing three times a week Tuesday, Thursday evenings 6-8 and Saturday mornings 10-12. The schedule is the same in the fall. Hope to meet you soon!
